London: Sachin Tendulkar ruled himself out of India's four-match one-day international series against West Indies which is scheduled to begin later this month.
Tendulkar opted out of the series citing injury problems.
India's leading pace bowler Zaheer Khan will also miss the tour due to an injury sufrered while playing the T20 World Cup.
India will also miss the services of their explosive opener Virender Sehwag for the tour as he is resting after a shoulder injury.
Tendulkar's last ODI was in Christchurch, New Zealand where he scored a match-winning 163 before retiring hurt.
BCCI will announce the team for the West Indies tour on Wednesday.
The first match of the series will be held on June 26 at Jamaica which hosts the second game too. Game Three and Four will be held at St Lucia.
