2 killed during T20 celebrations in Pak

Karachi: Two people were killed and 25 injured in the celebrations that held in after they won the T20 world cup on Sunday.

Ten-year-old Subhan and 35-year-old Dhani Buksh were killed by aerial firing in Liaquatabad and Gulistan-e-Jauhar areas.

Eleven of those injured were taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, nine to Civil Hospital Karachi and the remaining to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Some of the injured are in critical condition. Karachi erupted in celebration after the national cricket team beat Sri Lanka at Lord"s, with people dancing in the streets late into the night .'

Pakistan are the Badshahs of T20 world

Karachi erupted into celebrations as Pakistan scored a sensational victory against Sri Lanka in the second edition of T20 World cup at Lords on Sunday.

Pakistan achieved a modest, 139-run target for the loss of two wickets with eight balls to spare to win their first major trophy since 1992, when Imran Khan led them to victory in the 50-over World Cup in Australia.
