London: Batting maestro, Sachin Tendulkar paid his first visit to Madame Tussauds London to meet his recently created wax figure.
Sachin was delighted to meet his figure in pride of place at the world famous attraction amongst all the other sports stars, entertainers and politicians.
The wax figure is created at Madame Tussauds studios in West London at a cost of £150,000.
"I"d never been to Madame Tussauds before, so it was a real first for me and my family!" said delighted Tendulkar.
"I had already posed with the life-like wax figure back at home in India, but it feels different seeing it in the midst of some of the biggest names from all walks of life."
"We were happy to welcome Sachin and his family here at Madame Tussauds today. His figure has proved to be extremely popular over the last few months and really deserves his place amongst our others sporting greats including David Beckham and Lewis Hamilton." said Liz Edwards, spokesperson at Madame Tussauds.
Tendulkar follows in the famous footsteps of Bollywood giants Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan to become the very first Indian sports personality to be portrayed in Madame Tussauds.
