Kolkata: Bengal cricketer, Abhishek Jhunjhunwala has become the first former ICL player to be roped in by an IPL franchisee.
Abhishek Jhunjhunwala will play for former IPL champions Rajasthan Royals during the 2010 IPL. The talented middle order batsman was a member of the Royal Bengal Tigers and the Indian World Team in the Indian Cricket League Twenty20 competition.
Jhunjhunwala severed ties with the ICL in 2009, and was granted amnesty by the BCCI.

He attended a week -long camp organised by the Royals team at Jaipur's Sawai Man Singh Stadium. The camp was organised ahead of the Rajasthan Royals clash with England Twenty20 champions Middlesex Panthers at Lord's on Monday.
