Bangalore: Former Indian captains Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble are unlikely to figure in the list of 40 top Karnataka players that the KSCA will present the team owners prior to the KPL players auction on August 14.
According to the sources neither Dravid or Kumble had not shown much interest in the KPL and both were conspicuous by their absence at the launch of the tournament.
Forget IPL....here comes KPL
Kumble even went on to say that he is not in favour tournaments like KPL in the present format, while Dravid still has not uttered a word in favour of the tournament.
KPL organisers are on the view that the presence of big players like Kumble and Dravid will be crucial for the tournament as success of the tournament depends on how many seats can be filled on any match day as revenue from television is likely to be limited.
Anil Kumble, the Royal challengers captain in IPL's second season led his side to runners up position in South Africa., where as Rahul Dravid fought his way back into the Indian team after his stellar performance in the IPL 2.
