Ranchi: Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has taken on a different role here, recording a message as part of campaign against Child Labour and Trafficking.
AlR FM and Doordarshan will soon telecast Dhoni's voice pressing the issues of child labour and child trafficking. Jharkand state labour department and Srijan Production have jointly produced this commercial.
In the programme Dhoni will make plea to employers not to encage children below 14 years in hotels, eateries and other business establishments.
Praising Dhoni"s work, Labour commissioner Aradhana Patnaik said Dhoni is getting his voice recorded free of cost when the ad people pay him millions of rupees.
Dhoni faces salaray delay
“Dhoni will be championing the cause of child labour in the state. After he agreed to shoot for the commercial, his voice was recorded for 40 seconds at the Doordarshan studio. The commercial is expected to beam on television and radio from next month," said an official of Srijan Production.
