Bangalore: Real estate builders Brigade Group bid Rs. 7.2 crore to own Bangalore Urban team at an auction for the KSCA sponsored KPL franchisee in Bangalore on Wednesday.
Melmote constructions got Bangalore Rural for 5.55 crore and Girish Auto got franchisee of Mysore team at 3.25 crore.
Subash Enterprises bagged Belgaum at 3.81 crores, Jayaprakash Hedge Shimoga at 3.25 crores, Fiza developers got Mangalore for 4.23 crores, Shiv Shankarappa got Hubli-Dharward for 3.77 crore, Nandish Reddy bagged Gulbarga for 3.5 crore.
The bidding for the teams of the KPL , commenced with the filing of 22 bid documents at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Wednesday afternoon.
The inaugural edition of eight-team T20 cricket tournament, on the lines of Indian Premier League (IPL) will be at staged at at Bangalore's prestigious Chinnaswamy stadium from September 12 to 27.
