New Delhi: Eight Indian players including team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni underwent a three-hour fitness test under the supervision of coach Gary Kirsten at Kotla ground on Monday.
The other players who attended the fitness test were Harbhajan Singh, Ashish Nehra, RP Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Praveen Kumar, Suresh Raina and Ishant Sharma. The playes who attended the test belonged to north, central and east zones.
However, Virender Sehwag, who was suffering after a shoulder injury did not turn up for the test.
Indian vice captain Yuvraj Singh will attend the test in Mumbai on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters, coach Kirsten said that the results of the test would be compared with the results of tests taken at the National Cricket Academy during the four-day preparatory camp from August 27.
