Oval: Andrew Flintoff will have one last chance to be a part of an Ashes winning team as he is given a green light to play in the last and final Test at Oval next week.
A meeting between Flintoff's surgeon, Andy Williams, ECB chief medical chief medical officer and Flintoff's Physio, Dave Roberst, ended with a view that his damaged knee would recover sufficentlay for the final battle
Flintoff was ruled out of the Headingley Test in which England lost to Australia by an innings and 80 runs.
England coach Andy Flower said: "The advice is he"ll be fit enough to take part as an all-rounder at The Oval so we"ll listen to that advice and also to Fred"s information about his body."
The all-rounder's comeback to team is seen as essential for England, whose hapless batting peformance and spiritless bowling at Headingley as they lost by an innings and 80 runs in less than three days, has added thier confidence that a series-winning victory next week is within their capabilities.
