Colombo: Captain Shahid Afridi lead the battle from the front as Pakistan crushed Sri Lanka by 52 runs in the T20 match on Wednesday.
Afridi hit 50 off 37 balls in Pakistan's 172/5 and then claimed 1-21 in four economical overs as Sri Lanka were bowled out for 120 runs in 18.1 overs.
Pakistan captain smashed two sixes and four boundaries to take Pakistan to a healthy total.
Later Rana Naved and Saeed Ajmal picked up three wickets each to stun the Lankans.
The hosts lost wickets at regular intervals with skipper Kumar Sangakkara the only batsman to offer resistance against the fired-up Pakistanis with 38 off 31 balls.
Afridi, who was man of the match in both the semi-final and final at the T20 world cup, once again won the award as Pakistan ended an otherwise dismal tour of Sri Lanka on a winning note.
Pakistan lost the Test series by 2-0 and conceded the ODIs by a 2-3 margin.
Sri Lanka take on New Zealand in a two-Test series starting in Galle on Tuesday.
