New Delhi: After Sehwag, another Delhi batsman, Gautam Gambhir has openly criticised Delhi Cricket Association's selection policies in Ranji Trophy.
Gambhir has supported Virender Sehwag's views on Delhi Cricket Association and said that he might also leave Delhi Ranji team, if the situation remains the same.
“I am supporting Sehwag on this issue. There should be transparency in the selection process and if the situation remains same, I wouldn't hesitate switching to a different state," said the Indian opener.
Sehwag may say good-bye to Delhi
Delhi Ranji captain Virender Sehwag has decided to quit the team in protest against the selection procedures followed by the DDCA.
Meanwhile, some other Delhi players are also supporting Sehwag"s decision. According to sources, Ashish Nehra and Ishant Sharma have also supported Sehwag as he threatened to leave for Haryana.
Sehwag is expected to meet Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) President Arun Jaitley on August 27 or 28 to discuss the issue.
"I am trying to leave Delhi and play for Haryana. I spoke to the DDCA president, Mr. Arun Jaitley, and he has asked me to discuss the issue with him and then take a decision. If I am not satisfied with the outcome of our meeting, I will surely leave Delhi," Sehwag had said.
