Reeve shortlisted for KKR coach's job

Kolkata: Former England cricketer Dermot Reeve has been shortlisted by the Kolkata Knight Riders to replace John Buchanan as the coach of the Indian Premier League side.

The top brass officers of Knight Riders will interview the candidates, which include John Wright, Reeve and former Pakistan coach Richard Pybus in a three-day meeting beginning on Sunday.

The meeting will be held in presence of franchise boss Shah Rukh Khan and Sourav Ganguly, who is expected to lead  the team in the season three of the IPL.

Meanwhile , Pybus is scheduled to meet Knight Riders top officials on Saturday, which he said would only be a fact-finding meeting.

"I will be meeting the owners and representatives of Kolkata to understand what their expectations are," Pybus said.

"I will be looking for if their expectation meets with mine. From my side, it is a fact-finding weekend," he said.

According to a team sources, the Knight Riders are also looking at few prospective Indian candidates for the job.

Kolkata Knight Riders sacked their coach John Buchanan after the disappointing performance of the team in the second edition of the Twenty20 tournament.
