Mumbai: Bollywood star Salman Khan plans to own an IPL cricket team in the 2010 season. Salman approached IPL boss Lalit Modi in Mumbai on Wednesday and expressed his desire to be the owner of an IPL team.
IPL will add 2 more teams to its existing 8 from the 2010 season. If the deal is established, Salman will join his bollywood friends Shah Rukh Khan, Shilpa Shetty and Preity Zinta to own an IPL team.
New teams in the fourth edition will cost between $200 and $300 million
IPL chief Modi said that Salman Khan met him on Wednesday to know about the feasibility of buying an IPL team.
