The Oval: England ODI opener Joe Denly is likely to miss Friday's opening one-day international against Australia after suffering a knee injury.
England were practising at The Oval when Denly was carried off in pain.
"Joe is being assessed by the physio and until that happens we won't know any more about his condition." Team spokesman James Avery said.
"We're waiting for medical staff to have a close look at him." Avery added.
Denly was England's top-scorer with 67 against Ireland in August before being dismissed for a duck in the abandoned Twenty20 international against Australia at Old Trafford.
