Tendulkar's tribute to Dungarpur

Mumbai: "The best possible tribute to Raj Singh Dungarpur would be be for the Cricket Club of India to name their main gate after him" says Sachin Tendulkar.

He was speaking at a condolence meeting to mourn the death of Raj Singh Dungarpur at Mumbai.

"I know that here, CCI have named rooms after the ex-cricketers, the library is also named after a cricketer. Just like Prof. Shetty, I would like to request the management of CCI, I think the appropriate thing to do would be to name the main gate after Rajbhai because that is where I think is the right place for Rajbhai and I would strongly urge that," said Tendulkar.

Masterblaster also dedicated his 44th ODI century to the man who selected him for international cricket in 1989.

Dungarpur, who was suffering from Alzheimer's died on Saturday.
