Team India leaves for Champions Trophy

Mumbai: A strong and confident Team India, under the leadership of skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, left for South Africa to participate in the ICC Champions Trophy.

India left for South Africa from Mumbai airport at 9.45 am. The team will fly to Dubai and from there they will be taking a connecting flight to Johannesburg.

Champions Trophy-Fixture

Team India is on high on spirits after their recent Compaq Cup victory in Sri Lanka.

Champions Trophy is scheduled to held from September 22 to October 5. India were the joint winners along with hosts Sri Lanka in ICC Champions Trophy held in 2002.

India is placed in a tough group along with Australia, Pakistan and the West Indies.

India's matches

India will play their opening match against arch-rivals Pakistan September 26.

On September 28, Dhoni's men will take on world champions Australia.

On September 30, Indians will clash with mighty West Indies.
