Islamabad: Younis Khan quit as Pakistan captain on Tuesday. He handed over his resignation letter to PCB chairman during the session of National Assembly standing committee meeting.
PCB Chairman Ijaz Butt however rejected the resignation
Younis Khan had been asked to appear before National Assembly following match-fixing allegations in the recently-concluded Champions Trophy in South Africa.
Coach Alam criticised the Indian media for raking up the match-fixing controversy.
"It was an emotional decision on the part of Younis Khan to tender his resignation. It was a propaganda by Indian media. We have rejected match-fixing allegation in the meeting," said Alam.
