Australia post a huge total of 350

Hyderabad: Shaun Marsh and Shane Watson have led Australian team to a huge total of 350 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their allotted 50 overs at Hyderabad on Thursday.

Shaun Marsh (112) slammed his maiden ODI century, while Shane Watson smashed 93 runs. Marsh's105-ball hundred consisted of 8 fours and a six.


Australian captain Ricky Ponting won the toss and elected to bat first. Australian team got to a good start as Shane Watson and Shaun Marsh added togother 145 runs for the first wicket..

India finally got a breakthrough as they removed rampaging Shane Watson for 93. Watson was holed out at deep mid-wicket by Ravindra Jadeja off Harbhajan Singh.

Skipper Ponting played his part with a run-a-ball 45 but it was Marsh who stole the show his maiden century.

He was slow to start but came into his own later to register his maiden century to provide a perfect launching pad.

White and Hussey finished it perfectly, with the former striking some lusty blows to ensure Australia reach 350, their highest total on Indian soil. Australia slammed 13 sixes in their innings.

Praveen Kumar has been the only Indian bowler who bowled reasonable well on a unresponsive pitch and he claimed two Australian wickets.

India were sloppy in the field today and they missed several catches.
