Lahore: After suffering severe pain in his abdomen, legendary Pakistan cricketer, Imran Khan underwent an emergency operation at Lahore's Shaukat Khanam Cancer Hospital.
"Surgeons successfully operated on him and removed an obstruction in his small intestine. He is now out of danger." said hospital spokesman.
Imran Khan, Pakistan's only world cup winning captain, was also a member of the national parliament for five years. He captained Pakistan on and off between 1982 and 1992
He is in intensive care and has been advised to remain in the hospital for at least three days.
Imran is being treated at the hospital which is named after Imran's mother and was established following a charity appeal launched by the ex-cricketer himself, after she died of cancer.
