Kanpur: India were off to a great start in the Second Test as both their openers slammed half centuries to take the score to 131 runs for no loss at lunch on Day 1.
Sehwag smashed 70 from 73 deliveries which included eight boundaries and two sixes. At the other end, in-form Gautam Gambhir is batting on 59. He had already hit seven boundaries.
Earlier, Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat against Sri Lanka in the Second Test at Kanpur on Tuesday.
India have made two changes. Sreesanth and Ojha come in for Ishant and Mishra respectively. Sri Lanka also made a change to their side with injured pacer Dammika Prasad making way for mystery spinner Ajantha Mendis.
