Kanpur: Indians were well placed at 535/4 at lunch on second day of the second test at Kanpur on Wednesday.
Sachin Tendulkar (40) and Rahul Dravid (144) were the only two Indian batsmen dismissed in the first session. The hosts dominated the first session of the play as they piled on 118 runs in 30 overs.
Dravid played a classy innings of 144 from 226 deliveries, inclusive of 15 boundaries and a six, before he was unluckily run out. The Karnataka batsman completed another landmark when his scored reached 138 as he overtook Allan Border (11174 in 156 Tests) to take fourth position in the list of highest run scorers in Test cricket.
VVS Laxman (24) and Yuvraj Singh (13) are at the middle and looking good to take India to a region of 600 plus.
