Wellington: Mohammed Asif's brilliant bowling helped Pakistan to take control of the second Test against New Zealand at Wellington.
Mohammad Asif took four wickets for 40 runs as the Kiwis were routed for 99. Danish Kaneria gave a good support to Asif by claiming three New Zealand wickets.

New Zealand lost their last five wickets for 14 runs and fell further behind as their opponents closed on 64 for two second time around at the Basin Reserve.
Pakistan had earlier resumed on their overnight score of 161-6. Thanks to a 64-run eighth-wicket stand between Kamran Akmal (70) and Umar Gul they finished with a healthy 264 all out.
Pakistan openers Imran Farhat and Salman Butt made a solid start to their second innings, playing each ball on merit, till pacer Iain O'Brien came to the party and dismissed both.
At stumps, the Pakistan second innings had reached 64-2 with a formidable lead of 229 runs.
