There was no cake and confetti on view. Yet it was a birthday celebration of a different kind as Yuvraj Singh who turned 28 on Saturday, unleashed the party spirit in the only manner he knows — with a blistering fifty.
Yuvraj Singh shone with both bat and ball in India's six wicket win over Sri Lanka in the second T20 match at Mohali on Saturday. Yuvi captured three wickets then blasted a quick half-century 60* (25) to set up his team's victory that helped India to square the series at 1-1.

The birthday boy received full support from Sehwag and Dhoni. It was the second highest successful run chase by any team in T20 cricket.
Electing to bat first, Sri Lanka managed to post a very healthy 206/7 from their 20 overs. Sangakkara was top scorer with 59, while Jayasinghe and Jayasuriya contributed 38 and 31 respectively
Chasing a formidable 207 to win and square the two-match series, the home side romped home for the loss of just four wickets and with five balls to spare.

Openers gave a promising start to India as they scored 50-runs in just 31 balls. However, Gambhir was soon dismissed, a throw from Malinga catching the batsman short of his ground.
Sehwag and Dhoni added 50 runs for the second wicket. Virender Sehwag scored 64 of 36 balls with 7 boundaries and 3 sixes. After Sehwag's dismissal, Yuvraj came to the crease and started smashing Sri Lankan bowlers all around the ground. He remained unbeaten on 60 off 25 balls. Dhoni was out for 46.India made 211/4 in 19.1 overs.
