New stadium in HP dedicated to Vajpayee

Hamirpur: A newly built stadium in Himachal Pradesh was named after Atal Bihari Vajpayee for his commitment to the development of the hill state.

State Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal inaugurated the new stadium named after Vajpayee on his birthday, December 25, saying the former PM had a soft-corner for the hill state and had approved many developmental projects for it.

It has been completed in a record time of eight months and is in the series of 12 cricket stadiums, one each in all 12 districts of the state, Anurag Thakur, who heads HPCA, said on the occasion.
