Kotla loses out on India-SA Test

Mumbai: The first blow from the fall-out of the fiasco at the Feroz Shah Kotla, the Delhi stadium lost the right to host the South Africa Test which was scheduled to held early next year.

The Feroz Shah Kotla was to host a South Africa Test as per BCCI's rotation policy but after the huge fiasco in the capital where the fifth ODI between India and Sri Lanka had to be abandoned after 23.3 overs due to a poor pitch, the BCCI has decided to not give a game to Delhi in the next international series in India.

In fact, Kotla's fate as a venue to international games is in danger with the ICC to make a decision on it soon. It is likely that the venue may be banned and in that case, Delhi will lose its four World Cup games scheduled to be held in 2011.
