Mirpur: Zaheer (3/38) takes India to a comprehensive victory by eight wickets with a massive 17.2 overs in hand to confirm their place in the final.

Gambhir (71 off 86), Kohli (71 off 68) were the main contributors.

Innings Report:

Mirpur: A splendid bowling performance from Zaheer Khan (3/38) and Amit Mishra (3/40) helped India to bundle out Sri Lanka for a modest 213 in the fifth match of the Idea cup at Mirpur on Sunday.

Zaheer Khan destroyed Sri Lankan top order with the wickets of Tillakaratne Dilshan and Mahela Jayawardene in his first spell. The pacer stuck to a good line and length and was duly rewarded with two wickets for 21 runs, including two maidens, in his first spell of seven overs.

Sreesanth, Tyagi and Yuvraj claimed one wicket each.

Put into bat, the Lankans cut a sorry figure and they were all out in 46.1 overs.

After fighting a lone battle for his team, Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara finally departed for 68 as Sri Lanka were reduced to 143/7.

Later Suraj Randiv (56) scored a fighting half century to help Sri Lanka to get past 200 mark.
