Kohli ton steers India home

Dhaka: Virat Kohli brought up his ton and India's victory together, staying unbeaten on 102 (95 balls) as he took India to victory in 43 overs.

Innings Report:

Dhaka: Fighting half centuries from Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasal 85 (97) and Mahmudullah 64*(80) helped Bangladesh to post 247/6 against India in the last league match of the Idea Cup on Monday.

Put into bat first, Bangladesh were reeling at 96/5, but Shakib and Mahmudullah stitched together a fantastic 106 run partnership for the sixth wicket to take the team score past 200 runs in the 46th over.

Shakib was caught behind off Ashish Nehra after a splendid innings of 85 from 97 deliveries, studded with five boundaries and a six.

India, who have already made it to the final, won the toss and had no hesitation in electing to field.

Bangladesh scored 95 runs off the last ten overs.
