Tamim's ton boosts Bangla fight back

Mirpur: Tamim's spectacular knock of 151 from 183 balls helped Bangladesh fight back on the third day of the second Test against India in Dhaka.

Zaheer's late double strike got both set batsman in Tamim (151) and Siddique (55). Bangladesh trail by 83 runs as they ended day 3 at 228/3.

Mohammad Ashraful (2) and Shahadat (2) were in the middle at stumps with the hosts still trailing by 83 runs behind India, who had declared their first essay at 544 for eight.

Zaheer Khan (3/63), who had removed Imrul Kayes (5) in the morning to draw first blood, dismissed both Junaid and Tamim in his successive overs towards the end.

Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni struck a half century as India declared their first innings at 544 for eight at lunch on the third day of the second Test against Bangladesh here Tuesday.

Dhoni scored 89 off 167 deliveries with the help of nine fours and two sixes. he was dismissed off the last ball before lunch, stumped off part-timer Raqibul Hasan.

Yuvraj Singh, nursing a wrist injury, did not bat and has been ruled out of the match.

Resuming at 459 for five, India added 85 runs in 30.1 overs in the morning session.
