Under-19 WC: Oz clinches world cup title

Lincoln: Australia have won the under-19 World Cup with a 25-run win over Pakistan in Lincoln, New Zealand.

Despite posting 207/9 while batting first, Australia bundled out Pakistan to 182 to end their unbeaten streak in the tournament.

Kane Richardson (44) top-scored in Australia's innings of 9-207 from 50 overs before Pakistan were bowled out for 182 from 46.4 overs in reply.

Paceman Josh Hazlewood was adjudged as man of the match for his 4-30 off 8.4 overs while spinner Luke Doran claimed 3-32 off 10 overs at Bert Sutcliffe Oval.

In-form Rameez Aziz (23), Captain Azeem Ghumman (41), opener Babar Azam (28) and Ahmed Shehzad (36), all got start, but could not play the decisive innings that would have helped them win the trophy for the forth times.
