Hamilton: Vettori stars as New Zealand thrash Bangladesh to win their Twenty20 cricket international by 10 wickets in Hamilton on Wednesday night.
The Black Caps needed just 8.2 overs to chase down Bangladesh's poor total of 78.
McCullum was on his game, mixing muscle with magic to score 56 with seven fours and two sixes. Peter Ingram was unbeaten on 20 on debut as New Zealand scored 79 without loss for a 10 wicket victory.

Earlier skipper Daniel Vettori claimed three wickets as the New Zealand bowlers destroyed Bangladesh. Bangladesh were dismissed in the 18th over after winning the toss. Raqibul Hasan top scored with 18.
Vettori took 3-6 from four overs on his home wicket as Bangladesh failed to find any rhythm in their batting. Pace bowlers Daryl Tuffey and James Franklin removed the openers and then spin took control.
The teams now head to Napier for the first game in the three-match one-day series on Friday.
