Kallis leads SA recovery after blow

Nagpur: South Africa 90/2 at Lunch, with Jacques Kallis (55) leading their recovery from 6/2. Zaheer Khan took both wickets to fall.

MS Dhoni lost the toss, it was all India on the first morning of play in the first Test against South Africa. By lunch though, South Africa had begun the rebuilding process and were two down for 90 at lunch, after 29 overs.

Earlier, India handed out Test debuts to Tamil Nadu middle order batsman S Badrinath and Bengal wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha.

Rohit Sharma, who was likely to make a debut, was forced out as he twisted his ankle in a practice session on Saturday morning, giving a Saha a place in the eleven.
