Kolkata: South Africa's skipper Graeme Smith will miss the one-day series against India due to a finger injury.
In-form Test batsman Hashim Amla will join the one-day squad and he replaces Smith for the ODI series as Doctors advised Smith 10 days rest to recover from the fracture in his left little finger.
All-rounder Jacques Kallis will lead the tourists in the three-match series starting in Jaipur on Sunday, South African media manager said.
