Kolkata: India pacer Zaheer Khan has been ruled out of the one-day series against South Africa due to injury, the BCCI have announced.
Zaheer, who bowled just 5.1 overs out of the team's 34 overs on the fourth day, has sustained a muscle strain in his leg. He didn't take the field at all on the morning session on day five as India chased a series leveling victory.
"Zaheer has sustained a muscle strain to his leg and has been ruled out of the ODI series against South Africa," the BCCI said. "He will be replaced by Sreesanth."

India are already without injured opener Gautam Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh
Harbhajan Singh is also set to miss the first two matches in order to attend his sister's wedding.
India are scheduled to play three one-dayers against South Africa, with the first taking place in Jaipur on Sunday.
