Bowlers hand Australia 4-0 clean sweep

Melbourne: Australia thrashed West Indies by 125 runs at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday and win the five-match ODI series 4-0, with one game being abandoned due to rain.

West Indies' hopes of a token win in the final match of the one-day international series were crushed inside 37 overs as the tourists slumped to a 125-run defeat at the MCG on Friday.

A brilliant bowling from Doug Bollinger and Ryan Harris helps Australia bowled out the tourists for 199.

Earlier, an unbeaten 57 off just 26 balls by James Hopes and solid half centuries by Shane Watson and Ricky Ponting lifted Australia to a commanding 324 for five.

Australia stretches its unbeaten streak to 18 matches across all forms of the game.
