Bangalore: Kings XI Punjab today unveiled its unique and attractive Fan Club – the KXIP Lion"s Den and humorous animation films of their mascots-Rocky & Ranjit specially for their fans in India and across the globe. Chairperson & Promoter Preity Zinta, Promoter Ness Wadia, Captain Kumar Sangakarra along with the management and players also pledged their support for the HIV affected by wearing special red bands to support and create awareness on AIDS.

The KXIP Lion"s Den is the official exclusive fan club where members enjoy benefits ranging from discounts on various match tickets, merchandise and outlets in addition to opportunities to meet and party with the cricketers and special match-day privileges. There are KXIP Club, KXIP Gold, KXIP Platinum and KXIP NRI cards designed exclusively to cater to the fans across section and continents. On the launch of the Fan Club, the Team Captain, Kumar Sangakkara and Fast Bowler Brett Lee handed over Fan Club Cards and welcome kits to the first 15 members of the club.
Leading batsman, Yuvraj Singh launched the new animation film along with the mascots. The special preview of the Rocky and Ranjit animation strip was showcased today. The film stars the two mascots-Rocky & Ranjit who enact a humorous take on cricket. The films will be aired on multitude of digital channels like the KXIP website, YouTube, facebook and stadium. In addition, Rocky and Ranjit will be the only mascots in IPL that will have a dedicated section on the KXIP website with their own fan page and regular comic strips.

On the occasion, the players and the management wore red bands to support the cause of creating awareness on HIV. The red bands are the recent edition from the KXIP merchandise. Priety Zinta, Chairperson and Promoter, KXIP, added, “KXIP will be supporting the UNAIDS commitment towards stigma & discrimination against PLHIV (People living with HIV in India). I appeal to all our fans to buy the KXIP red bands in support of the cause against AIDS and make this initiative a success. Part of the Proceeds of the same will be dedicated to this cause. We are a community driven and socially responsible team and this is one of our ways to giving back to the society."
