Auckland: Australia has retained the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy with a six-wicket victory over New Zealand in the fourth ODI of the 5 match ODI series at Eden Park in Auckland.
Australia eased past New Zealand by six wickets under the Duckworth-Lewis method to take an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series.

New Zealand had struggled after being put into bat in Auckland as they could only reach 238 before being bowled out in just 44.1 overs. The Duckworth-Lewis method was put in place after the showers subsided and the visitors were given a revised target of 200 runs in 34 overs.
However, Australia did not suffer as Michael Hussey and White ensured the hosts win the game with 2.5 overs to spare.
Cameron White was adjudged as man of the match for 50 from 57 balls as it was crucial in the middle overs. Ponting (50 off 35 balls) and Watson (32) were the other contributors
The fifth and final match of the five-game series is in Wellington on Thursday, March 13.
