Punjab thrilling Super 'Over' Win

Chennai: Kings XI Punjab snatched victory over the Chennai Super Kings in a 'super over' after their Indian Premier League 16th match ended in a tie at Chennai on Sunday.

First Chennai Super Kings scored 9 for the loss of 2 wickets in the Super Over. Later Kings XI Punjab scored 10 for the loss of one wicket in the first four balls of Super Over

Normal Match:

Chennai needed only one to win off the last ball of the normal match, caught by Kaif in the Irfan Pathan's last over which leads to play 'Super Over'.

Veteran off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan took three for 16 in his four overs as the Chennai Super Kings restricted Kings XI Punjab to 136 for eight in 20 overs.

The Sri Lankan off-spinner snared Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene and Mohammad Kaif and never let the Punjab batsmen get away after Suresh Raina won the toss and elected to bowl. Yuvraj Singh accelerated in the end with a fine 43.
