Ahmedabad: After last season's highly controversial 'slap-gate' between Harbhajan and Sreesanth, a slegding storm has raised its head in IPL 3.
Symonds has stepped into another controversy with Yusuf accusing him of indulging in slegding.
After blasting 73 runs off 34 balls against Deccan Chargers, Yusuf Pathan said that Andrew Symonds had sledged him when he went to bat and that inspired him to perform well.
Yusuf powers Rajasthan to a eight-wicket win over the Deccan Chargers. After a comfortable win, Yusuf said Deccan Chargers' all-rounder Symonds sledged him while he came out to bat.
Yusuf Pathan's 73 from 34 balls includes eight sixes and two fours.
"It inspires you makes you more determined when a opposition player sledges you. When I went in to bat today, Symonds exchanged a few words and and it made me more determined to score runs," Yusuf said
"I batted well. My mummy papa (mom-father) have been coming for the last two games and I am happy that I scored some runs for them today. The ball was coming nicely on to the bat," said the Rajasthan explosive batsman
