Jaipur: Michael Lumb hit a majestic 83 (43 balls, 16x4, 2x6) as Rajasthan Royals conquered Kings XI Punjab by nine wickets in 38th Match of IPL 3rd edition at Sawai Man Singh Stadium here on Wednesday.
Rajasthan Royals, who had a moderate target of 154 runs to chase, reached the target in 15 overs. With their sixth win of the tournament, Rajasthan Royals accumulated 12 points from 11 matches.

Lumb smashed the Kings XI Punjab bowlers with a 43-ball 83 to help Rajasthan overhaul the 154-run victory target with five overs to spare.

Earlier, Aditya Dole and Siddharth Trivedi took 2 wickets each and Kings XI Punjab hit no boundaries in the last five overs as they were restricted to 153/6 by Rajasthan Royals.
Trivedi had figures of 2/22 (Sangakkara and Piyush Chawla) while Watson conceded just 19 runs from his four overs.
Jayawardene and Yuvraj put up a 50-run stand off 29 balls to take Kings XI Punjab to 103/2 in 11 overs.
