Curtains down for India, fail to tame WI

Bridgetown: Its curtains down for India in T20 World Cup as Windies thrash India by 14 runs in the do-or-die match of Super Eight's Group F match of ICC Twenty20 World Cup here on Sunday.

Chris Gayle steers West Indies home as he smashed 98 from just 66 balls and helps to post the modest total of 169.

In-reply Team India scumbled again for just 155 on the board in their 20 Overs. Other than Raina (32 from 25 balls) and Dhoni (29 from 18 balls) no other Indian batsman proves that they are best as T20 player.

Now, we can say its all over for India despite some miracles. Chances are like Sri Lanka must lose very cheaply with Australia and India need to win with big margin against Sri Lanka. And at the same time West Indies need to lose with Australia.

Chris Gayle was adjudged as Man of the Match.

Brief Score:

West Indies: 169 for six in 20 overs (Chris Gayle 98; Ashish Nehra 3/35).

India: 155 for nine in 20 overs (Suresh Raina 32; Remar Roach 2/38).
