PCB enquiry proceedings leaked

Karachi, May 18: Pakistan is yet again linked with a new controversy after a video proceeding of recent PCB inquiry committee proceedings has been leaked.

A T.V channel aired the video recordings of the statements made by Pakistan officials and February-March which showed differences within the team and lack of unity. The visuals of Intikhab Alam and Aaqib Javed who were coaches during Pakistan's tour to New Zealand were shown where they were telling the committee members that they wanted to send back Shoaib Malik from the tour because of his negative personality but on the defense of Captain Mohammad Yousuf did not go forward with the decision.

In the visuals the coaches the heard talking about wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal and his performance who had missed four catches and a run-out in the second test against Australia in Sydney, and heard saying something was fishy.

"I have reservations over the way he (Kamran) missed the run-out. when I saw it I couldn't believe it. How he could miss such a big run-out. I can't say 100 percent there is match-fixing involved but I have my strong suspicion," Aaqib said.

The video shows a long conversation between the two coaches discussing about various players, how politics between amongst the players lead to the poor display of cricket by Pakistan on that tour.

The coaches were dropped following the team's disastrous tour.
