USA: Sri Lanka won the second T20 match against New Zealand by seven wickets in Florida to level the Pearls Cup series 1-1.
After having dismissed the Black Caps for 81 runs, Sri Lanka overhauled the target in 15.3 overs.
The series, which took place at Central Broward Park in Lauderhill about 30 miles from Miami, is the first time two full International Cricket Council members have played a series in the United States.
Captain Daniel Vettori managed to score 27 and all-rounder Nathan McCullum scored 36 not out as the Sri Lankan pace attack was lethal and too hot to handle.
Nuwan Kulasekara was the pick of the bowlers scalping 3 wickets in the second over of the match to reduce the black caps for 4-3. He bowled three overs and managed to pick up 3 wickets letting away just 4 runs. He was adjudged the 'man of the match'.
At the other end, Lasith Malinga complemented well with him claiming 3 wickets for 13 runs.
The Black Caps were hovering at 13-5 after Vettori and McCullum managed to put up a partnership of 45 for the sixth wicket to give some respectability for the New Zealand final score.
In the second innings, Mahela Jayawardene looked in good touch for the Lankans scoring a 12 ball 17 after getting out to a Jacob Oram delivery caught at short
However, his partner at the other end, Tillakaratne Dilshan played an anchor role scoring an unbeaten 33 to guide his side to victory past the Black Caps total.
