Islamabad: Rookie left-arm Pakistan pacer Mohammed Irfan is hopeful of making it into the national squad soon though he was not picked for the upcoming Asia Cup in Sri Lanka.
“Ups and downs are a part of life, and Allah will open doors for me in the future," the 27-year old speedster quoted to PakPassion.net.
Irfan, who has been kept as a reserve for the Asia Cup, said he is pleased to see Shoaib Akhtar making a comeback in the national team after a long lay off.
“Shoaib bhai is a tremendous bowler and a match winner for Pakistan, it is great to see him back in the Pakistan team again," he added.
Irfan was hopeful that despite being not chosen by the selectors for the Asia Cup, the selectors will hopefully select him for the England Tour.
“I am working hard at the NCA and Inshallah, I have very high hopes of being selected for the tour of England," he said.
