England storm past Bangladesh: Win series 2-0

England win convincingly

Old Trafford: England for the second time bowled out Bangladesh in one session to win the match and series by an innings and 60 runs at Old Trafford.

Following 203 runs behind in the afternoon session, the tigers slumped to 123 all out and a 2-0 series loss with a sorry display.

Steve Finn was once again lethal finishing off with another 5-wicket haul to wrap up a series win for the home team. At the start of Bangladesh innings, Anderson bowled exceptionally well, picking up the first innings centurian Tanim Iqbal in the second ball of the innings. James Anderson went on to claim three for 16 in a superb opening spell.

Mahmudullah was the only batsmen to show some resistance scoring 38 runs and hitting 5 boundaries in the Bangladesh innings. Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah kept England waiting for 10 overs after Bangladesh's early downfall.

Then Finn was recalled for a second spell by captain Strauss and he managed to strike with his very first ball, a half-volley which Mushfiqur chipped straight into the hands of substitute fielder Karl Brown at mid-on.

Earlier, Tanim Iqbal hammered a second successive century for the Bangladesh Tigers but a batting collapse has left them in the Second day of the second Test match between England and Bangladesh

Following his century at Lords, Tanim scored his second successive ton at faster than a run-a-ball pace handling. Imran Kayes supported him well giving a good platform for his side at the other end.

The Tigers had got off to a flier with 126 for no loss but were all out cheaply for 216 at the end of days play. Steve Finn managed to get the first breakthrough for the
