Tendulkar rested for Asia Cup: Yuvraj dropped

Tendulkar out due to injury

Delhi: It has been confirmed that Sachin Tendulkar won't be a part of the Asia cup as he is still recovering from his injury.

Sources had revealed that the maestro himself wanted to rest for the Asia Cup and had requested for rest to the selection committee and his request was accepted by the committee. Tendulkar after having captained the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, had sustained the injury during the tournament.

Yuvraj Singh has been dropped along with team-mate Yousuf Pathan. He had come under a lot of scrutiny after his poor performance in the last calender year.

Meanwhile, Jharkhand''s budding all-rounder Saurabh Tiwari, who was quite impressive in the third edition of the India Premier League (IPL) tournament, is the new face in the team.

Most of the Indian senior players were likely to make a return in the team.
