Lords: Keiron Pollard sparked the atmoshpere at Lords by scoring a match-winning 89 not out from just 45 balls against Middlesex, while making his Somerset debut in the Friends Provident t20.
The West Indian all-rounder smashed seven sixes and the same number of fours to help his new side to victory with 13 balls to spare at Lord's.
Somerset were struggling at 31-4 in reply to Middlesex's 155-6, when Pollard took charge of the situation and stuck hard against the fielding side.
Pollard put on a gud partnership with Peter Trego, a partnership of 68 and then Zander de Bruyn came in to hit 19 not out finishing off the match with Pollard.
Earlier in the Middlesex innings, Adam Gilchrist failed to shine for them as he departed for a duck from the13th ball of the South Group contest.
Scott Newman (26) and Neil Dexter (29) took the hosts through to 46, including taking 20 off one over from medium-pacer Zander de Bruyn.
Eoin Morgan was the star performer for Middlesex, and raised the 100 runs for Middlesex with a six into the Tavern Stand. He finished off with an unbeaten 48 from 30 balls.
