Edgbaston: Andrew Strauss and Jonathan Trott recorded the highest ever one-day partnership for England to help the hosts win against Bangladesh in the 3rd ODI at Edgbaston, Birmingham and lift the NatWest Series 2-1.
Strauss and Jonathan both blasted centuries to put up a 250 run partnership for the second wicket and helped England post a mammoth total of 347 for 7, their third highest total ever. The pair came together early in the innings as England lost their first of Craig Kieswetter for a four ball duck in the very first over.

Strauss scored a magnificent 154, his fourth one-day hundred, included16 fours and five sixes - the third highest knock in English ODI history, while Trott (110) hit his maiden century.
The duo managed to overtake the previous record of 226 where Strauss and Andrew Flintoff were involved against the West Indies in the year 2004.
Ravi Bopara coming down the order finished off the England innings with four sixes to finish 45 not out off just 16 balls to consolidate the record partnership.
Chasing the target of 348, the Tigers were never really in the game and were eventually allout for 203. Bopara picked up four wickets for the home side.
