Australia lose their top order

Headingley: Pakistan fast bowlers have ripped apart the Australian top order as the Aussies failed to handle the attack and fell cheaply at regular intervals in the second Test match at Headingley after captain Ricky Ponting had elected to bat first.

Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Aamer and Umar Gul has been exceptional for the Pakistan side picking up five Australian top order batsmen between them within the 17th over from the start of play.

Only Marcus North and coming in at No 6 and Simon Katich opening the batting for the Aussies has managed to reached double figure score as rest of the Aussie line up were not allowed to settle in by the pacers and were dismissed cheaply.

Pakistan are trailing the two match series 0-1 as they lost the first match at Lords by 150 runs. As expected Shoaib Malik will be playing in place of injured Shahid Afridi.
