Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni believes Sri Lankan paceman Lasith Malinga was a key player for the hosts, with his unique slinging action who troubled the Indian batsmen and helped Sri Lanka go one up in the three Test match series.
"Whenever we had some kind of partnership going, the Sri Lankan bowlers came up with a beautiful delivery," Dhoni said.
"With Malinga and the kind of action he has, you can't really say you are set whenever he comes on to bowl. You have to start all over again. He normally brings the ball in, but in his match, he can take it away also, you can be in trouble." Dhoni added.
Sri Lanka won the match convincingly and lead the three Test match series 1-0.
Incidentally, Muttiah Muralitharan became the first bowler in the history of Test cricket to complete 800 wickets after he got the final wicket of Pragyan Ohja in the Indian second innings.
Muralitharan playing his final Test match was given a grand farewell after the match.
