Aamer puts Aussies on the backfoot

Headingley: Mohammad Aamer gave an excellent start for Pakistan, striking thrice to put the Aussies in the back-foot in the third day of the second Test match between Australia and Pakistan at Headingley as play had been stopped for lunch.

Resuming the days play at 136 for 2, Ricky Ponting(66) was the first man to be dismissed after a good half century yesterday. Then Mike Hussey followed him soon after scoring just 8 runs. Marcus North coming in at No 6 didn't last long either as he was dismissed for a five ball duck by Aamer who claimed his third wicket of the day, his fourth wicket overall.
